signed software

software that has social markings

In this operating system, every bit of software is signed with PGP keys by its authors and contributors. You can look at properties of any file or executable and see who has contributed, hew many people, etc.

Also, once you run any software and it successfully self terminates, it reports up to its authors , or the person you got it from, or some other centralized location. If it crashes and you have to termiate it, the program reports back up as an unsuccessful session. These figures are re-distrubed as a stability rating.

Signing software goes to identifying good software by its ratings and the reputations of its authors. Its similary to when Microsoft signs drivers, except there's no monopoly on authenticity.

This will also help prevent execution of software that are viruses or spyware, or otherwise unscrupulous software.

Also, if there is an issue that is time sensitive, such as fatal errors from an update, there would be a wave of 'unsuccessful session' reports, and other users would see this, and roll back changes, or not run the program, etc.

Good Google, but he stays off the web for the most part. Brilliant programmer, good friend of mine.

Sounded like art. And it wasn't a very strenuous search, just a three word query.

I sign all of my code in one way or another.
The BEST thing is, when I quit, they will get a message about 2 weeks later telling them to contact me for a licensing agreement.
Boy will they miss me then.
Especially since writing code was not part of my job discription & it is cutting company cost immensly.
Too bad they never signed on for the exclusive rights. I know 1/2 the company uses it. Ha Ha Ha. You cheap fools.
