Maybe we could make a palm held scanner that would test for sickle cell enimia by using a household scanner. Maybe if the electric could get tuned up a bit, it could wash the sickle out and onto a zip disk. This remarkable device could also double as a lave lamp, toaster, and plastic chewy bon-b

Do you have any idea how sickle-cell disease really works? It's a genetic disease, autosomal dominant -- you can't "wash the sickle out." High risk newborns (i.e., parents with sickle-cell trait or SC disease) are already screened for this -- so in that sense, this is baked.

       'anemia', 'lava-lamp', 'bon-bon'.

       More like "inane-mia"

On the random button again, bristolz? Yeah, I kind of thought so too...

Nothing wrong with the random button, it helps bring old ideas to people's attention. (Although in this case, it's hardly worth it.) (Of course, if you're only picking random because you've already annotated every idea in "recent", maybe not so good.)

You're right . . . this one wasn't worth it. But, there was too much prune going on in the "recent" area.
