phone simulator
cheese lets you know what size of phone you want before buying | |
Im thinking of upgrading from a smartphone to a
gigantic
phone, aka a "phablet" but i wish to find one that is
both large and pocketable. many sites list the weight
and dimensions of these phones, but I and I think many
others have difficulty envisioning what 110x 80 x 11
mms or 190
grams might feel like in ones pocket.
My solution to this problem would be a site that gives
you
printable full-scale templates of current phablet that
you
could print out and tape together. You would then affix
the template to a large block of cheddar (or any
cheese
that is relatively hard) , and then cut out a block with
the exact size, (and similar weight to the real phone
you
are thinking about buying.
At this point you would have a phone shaped block of
cheese that you would be free to put in your pocket,
and
walk around with for a few days to test for comfort.

Just thinking about a phablet sized block of cheese makes me cheddar. |

Uh-oh. Now you've gone and started off a round of
cheese-puns. No gouda will come of it. |
|
|
Brieth Max, it will all be okay |
|
|
Well, when it comes to cheese puns, the Leicester
better. |
|
|
Stiltons of cheese puns to come, I expect. |

He'd probably say this was a feta compli. |
|
|
Is that a block of Gorgonzola in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me? Or are you incontinent? |
|

These jokes are aged, not too sharp. I like the puns that go whey over your headcheese, these are kind of lacy and full of holes. Maybe if we smoked them they would ticklemore. |
|
|
Umm, cheese? Have you not heard of wood? Or cardboard? I'm not sure cheese would be strong enough to accurately give the "feel" of a phone in your pocket (either too soft and flexible, or too brittle). |

The density of a mobile phone is about 2g/cm³, while the density of cheese is about 1g/cm³. Modeling clay probably has a density closer to a mobile phone. |
|
|
Alternatively, you could just use the phone as a giant belt
buckle. |
