nessie babies

a little diplomacy required…

a Swedish council has been asked to explain why it placed a mythical monster on the country’s endangered species list. they have also denied permission to a business man who wanted to search for eggs in order to raise monster babies.

legend has it that the giant serpent, similar to the Loch Ness monster, has lived for centuries in Jaemtland’s lake Storsjoen, Sweden’s fifth largest lake.

now if the British government could only persuade Sweden to let Britain have a few of these eggs, then we could release some Swedish monster babies into Loch Ness providing some company for poor old lonely Nessie. they might even interbreed and produce a few hybrids which could only enhance Swedish-British relations and add to the Scottish tourist industry.

What if they eat Nessie, and then menace the locals?

Ogopogo can kick-ass on both of them.

Never introduce foreign monsters into the land, just in case they breed like rabbits.

<swedish trivia> I learned this week that at one point ABBA were Sweden's biggest importer of beef. There was a limit to the amount of foreign currency they could transfer from Brazil to Sweden, so they imported beef instead.</swedish trivia>

       Didn't import Dragon eggs then.
skinflaps, May 05 2004

What [Aerythes] said. Introduction of even normal species is irresponsible. Introduction of foreign monsters is doubly so.

too much in-breeding in these shy lake creatures cannot be a good thing either.

Like bicycles for fish, give 'em monster trucks.

My local pet store had a prank up for April Fool's last year and kept it up for quite a while...in one of their fish tanks they put a little toy Nessie all the way in the back behind some rocks, and put a price for "BABY LOCH NESS MONSTER" at $10,000. As it turns out, several people inquired as to the housing requirements of such an animal. Stupid people.

best one-liner from po's first link: "For about 20 seconds at a distance of 300 yards he saw a long neck followed by a hump swimming idly by for about 20 seconds."
yabba do yabba dabba, May 05 2004

       a hump?
po, May 05 2004

It didn't have a hump when you saw it?

I'll trade you two Sasquatch babies for one Storjon lake monster egg. They are twins and they’re house broken.
Heavy on the broken.
