feet are celebrated by having a holiday where we try to not use our hands AT ALL FOR ANYTHING FOR AN ENTIRE SINGLE DAY.

"I was sad i had no shoes, until I saw a man who had no feet."

       ----

Used to know a guy with hands so small and arms so short they were useless.

His feet had picked up the hands job as much as they could. He used to annoy folks by pulling the hairs on their legs with his toes. He got around on a large tricycle. True Story.

//national foot day// Typical - still using imperial.

National 'anything' day is not really an idea. This is because it opens the door to national 'one red finger' day or national 'no saying the word 'and' day' etc etc.

But if it were national "No saying the word 'and' day", how would you tell people you were celebrating it? You'd have to say "Hey everybody! It's national No Using A Very Common Conjunction Day!" or "It's national No Saying The Word We Are Forbidden To Say On This Day Day!".
