Large bulb-type 'evacuators' are available, but aimed at babies. I can't think of any reason an adult couldn't use one, except that an adult can blow his nose. |

I once went to a doctor who told me that the best way to treat a really stuffy nose is to fill one of those bulbs with salty water, and squirt the water up your nose. The salt dissolves the mucus, and makes it easier to blow. Just be sure to lean over the sink while you do it. |

I actually have a nasal vacuum. A friend from Hungary brought it to us, since they use it on their kids when they have a cold - when they are too young to know to blow. It is called something like Orsivo-Porsivo affectionately know in our house as the Hungarian Snot Sucker. It attaches to your vacuum cleaner to provide suction. I will try to find a link. The gross thing about it is the cleaning. Especially since the tubing and receptor (for the snot), are clear, so you can see if you captured a big clam or not. It works just OK - the suction really is not powerful (maybe I should upgrade my vac), but it is meant for kids. |
