<wiping trousers> I hate aluminium... |
Hate canned beer (so unsophisticated, darling). |

"Two pints of 'magnet please guvnor" |

at least it would be funny watching you try to get another beer out of the fridge when your hand gets stuck to the door... |
Or watching you try and pay your bar tab with a credit card. |

If you had the poles reversed, your beer would be forever 'just out of your reach'. I always thought that beer came in aluminum cans. Shows how much us non-drinkers know, huh? |
How do you magnetize the cans? |
beer cans are generally aluminum... there was an idea a while back about making them magnetic so they could stick together in a 6 pack (or more) without using those fish-killing plastic rings. ill try to find it... |

There is a japanese beer maker that uses steel cans, as far as I know it's just a novelty. I'd sure be funny to see someone try to crush one on their head though.... |

Most beer cans are aluminum (aluminium for you brits), and as such, are non-magnetic. Either way, I tend to avoid canned (and keg) beer, since I'm extremely sensitive to the metallic (yech!) taste. |

I find it's very hard to open ring-pulls with gloves on, especially mittens. Would they have a special attachment for this purpose? (And suckers for glass bottles?) |

just put a steel ball in the can, and the magnet will stick to it thru the aluminum. Reuse the steel ball, and don't swallow. Ball, that is, beer should be swallowed for best effect. |

This would only be fun after a wedding when the couple
drives off with cans without needing string. |
