I don’t think I’m the only one either. What I want is a pair of shoes that has a reservoir of liquid in the sole and tubes that go throughout the shoe. The tubes would go in the instep and around the top of the foot and possibly even around the ankle. When the wearer steps on the heel a pump is mashed and pushes the liquid through the tubes. What kind of liquid you ask? Well, there is a valve that you can put antifreeze cooled overnight in, or kool-aid for when you get thirsty. Happy feet, happy people.

My bf's feet get hot in his shoes, too. He has adopted the habit of removing his shoes while at work to let his feet breathe. He'd appreciate a shoe like this. :)

"Cool your heels" could be the tagline.

How do you keep the liquid cool?
snarfyguy, Nov 01 2002

Make the soles heatsinks and the liner a Peltier device. Piezo power (so the more you walk, the more power you generate)?

Can be used to warm your feet in cold climates too. Just connect the liquid tube to a catheter - kill two birds with one stone...

This would compliment a crotch rot device. Also, I don't think anyone has come up with the idea for edible socks. $$$$$$$$$

Who, besides a dog, would want to eat socks? Hm...

Halfbakery lacks a fetish category, right?

forget cooling your feet - use hydraulic fluid and connect it up to a steel toe-capped boot which is pivoted off the bottom of your rucksack and have it kick you in the arse each step you take. Result : you'll get places quicker.
