last word

A mechanism to vote down an annotation
  (-4)
(-4)
  [vote for,
against]

This halfbakery idea is that each annotation has a vote button function. Once pressed the annotation is chosen and a copy is fixed at the end of all the idea's annotations. The button is not for one's own annotations and can't be edited. It is a one time vote if heart felt enough for action.

Many ideas have elegant comments that encapsulate and distill the idea but are just hidden by other lessor comments following. I myself have hidden a few.

If not a button then maybe a 'marked for' because a community should say what the bottom line is.

       Not clear how this works.

Does "fixed at the end of the idea" mean that the annotation becomes embedded in the idea text, at the bottom (and cannot be moved again, by contrary voting)? Or does it mean that the annotation is moved to the bottom of the thread (thereby making nonsense of any conversation being carried on in the thread)? Or what?

Edited. To be voted the last annotation. A copy as not to disturb conversations.

Different to [xaviergisz] as it is last thought as it pertains to the idea not an anno that should be lit for greatness.

With that Voting on Commentary idea ,my vote would have marked [jutta]'s anno as last word.
wjt, Feb 16 2020

Sorry, current peak word then. Obviously, no such thing as a last word.

IMO the last word will be spoken at the end of the universe and so little energy will be available to speak it, it will take thousands of years to utter.
Voice, Feb 18 2020

No, but if it's related to my anno I'll look it up.
Voice, Feb 18 2020

[Voice] It will still be a contest between many last words of different species in different parts of the universe.
