Take a normal pc keyboard and replace the plastic DEL & BACKSPACE keys with metal ones. These metal keys would be hooked up to a a voltage generator to give the operator a powerful electric shock each time those keys were pressed. One can envisage a system delivering an increasingly powerful charge as
usage increasing. This would certainly improve typing quality.

Nonsense. I'd just highlight the section of text to be replaced and start typing again. If reducing errors is your goal, learn to type on a typewriter. |

a good idea....but the delete key shouldnt be affected by this, it has other uses, and maybe the backspace key should only have this current in it in certain apps, for instance in ie and explorer it is useful as a back button... |

I type by mashing the keyboard repeatedly and then going back and deleting the characters I don't want. |

This is a terrible idea, but why the [m-f-d]? |

//why the [m-f-d]?// I guess because [jutta] says so.<nostalgia>I remember one time Jutta pulled someone's account, someone else asked why, and Jutta said, "Ultimately because I just didn't like him", which is really all the reason needed.</nostalgia> |

Wouldn't this just make them afraid of using their PCs? I think that it would be great if every key on a Mac user's computer was electrified as described, why? Because I don't like them (hey, if it's good enough for Jutta) |

backspace is actually a valid key in editing some programs formats that don't allow for wrapping text. You type all that you want to type, copy it down multiple times, and backspace or highlight/delete everything that won't fit on a line. Luckily this concept is becoming obsolete, but not entirely. |
