hush cup
bubble filter to quieten a kettle's inner rage | |
A food grade stainless steel matted coil, similar to the cleaning Polypad, that tracks and diffuses waves given off by the large heating bubbles. The pad sits on the element and projects upward into the water space.
Since the coil mat is nearly all space, it will not adversely effect capacity. Any
heat that transfers to the mat would be conducted throughout the volume.
There would have to be an indent in the bottom of the mat that fits the element. There would probably be a few generic shapes to suit the vary types of kettles and elements. But because of mat's light gauge wire, it may be twisted and bent to suit.
Now you can hear the radio while waiting for that relaxing cuppa.
Oh, THAT poly pad...

I'm still awaiting the multi-spout partitioned kettle, so hot teas and coffees can be served together. |

Toss a stainless scouring pad into a kettle, to see if it
works. Worst that can happen is a short and a blown
fuse or tripped circuit breaker. |
