hearing aids turns off inside a case

Sometimes people forget to turn their hearing aid off. This can be fixed by putting a small reed switch inside the hearing aid, and magnets inside the hearing aid case.

When you put your hearing aid into storage, it will trigger the magnetic reed switch, and turn off the power for the hearing aid.

My father has hearing aids that are recharged by putting them in their storage case. It's got an induction pad in it, that they rest upon. They're some fancy German things... practically invisible and about $12,000.

Sounds doable for cheaper hearing aids.
