[Egnor] linked to this from the glow-in-the-dark-cereal. It mentions "hair mousse" in passing. [jutta, Sep 01 2000]

They have flourescent hair spray, and glow in the dark hair & body glitter. Not quite the same, but close. [nick_n_uit, Sep 01 2000, last modified Oct 04 2004]

That is a great Idea, It would be assome to dye your hair glow in the dark!!
jryoung2001, Nov 04 2000

This would be a great safety device when you're wearing nothing but black and crossing the street at night -- the driver of that oncoming car can't claim not to have seen you. ;)

       Wear a glow-in-the-dark fright wig.

Oftentimes, glow-in-the-dark stuff is transparent. Why not go to school with some manner of innappropriate content written in your hair, then try to walk through poorly-lighted areas frequently...
nick_n_uit, Mar 10 2001

It is a well known fact that if you write 'inappropriate' things on something, someone, whatever, in glow in the dark nail polish, someone's going to get mad. The nail polish can't really be seen in the light but, boy-howdie, when you get into the dark room for photography class it glows like a sheet of printer paper in the noon-time sun. It doesn't come off too easy either.

here in england you can buy hair gel that glows in the uv rays of say a nightclub

they're pretty cool although it gets pretty embarrasing when you start sweating

You could really scare someone with this stuff!

I own some shades of permanant glow in the dark hair dye, but they are UV responsive. It won't glow in complete darkness. It needs a blacklight.
JRandMoby, Jul 09 2002

You can buy glow in the dark hair gel at http://www.gothicasylum.com . You can even do glow in the dark spikes with it :-)

Gorgeous! Twist your twinkling tresses up wth a glow-in-the-dark ponytail fastener for added spark! And have some pastry -- compliments of LaSparkster!

punkypoo, Nov 05 2003

I have owned Glow in the Dark hair dye in the past and it didn't need a UV light to work.
