Don't you guys notice that you sometime type filename as a comment of what it is?

I do wonder if it would be better if we can comment on our files, and tag it... instead of having to put comments as filename.

OS X allows you to put a comment on a file or folder.

Directory structures ( other peoples) are the bain of finding stuff. Can't wait till the AI knows what I am trying to find.

MP3s seem to do something similar, I have very few MP3s with their graphic "metadata" intact. At least right now, I think the notes would evaporate when the files transmit between a few systems. I think an AI, at each computer, that makes a tag cloud from the file contents automatically could work.

// OS X allows you to put a comment on a file or folder. //

It's had comments since the beginning* and an actual tagging system since a few versions ago.

*I think Classic Mac OS had comments on files too. Not sure.
