I will bun it for the cleverness, however, how would you prevent the innertube from being punctured by the object that originally flattened the tire? I suppose this could work for the type of tire puncture that does not leave a foreign object behind as in the case of backing over one of those spike strips that they use in parking lots to prevent you from backing up at the gate. |

This is good. The inner tube could be of some material (or of some topology) such that it would cling to the wheel and not contact the tyre until inflated. |
