Don't like 'em? Zap 'em! Annoying or boring Guests who are plugging a movie, show, premanufactured hit song are oftentimes in need of a reminder that We, the home viewers, know what we like and don't like. Guest is hooked up to electrodes (hey, they wear wireless mics, don't they?). Hit that red button on the remote and watch the sparks fly .

An early version is already implemented in the Big Brother tv-show. Participants are first nominated by each other and then the audience votes by telephone. Television with more power and control to the viewer has the future anyway (compare: internet).

With some annoying guests I'D like to insert (ahem) attach, the electrodes.

Could a variant of this device could be used on obnoxious and hostile users who dial in to tech support?

It would certainly cut down on wait times for other customers with legitimate problems, simply by using operant conditioning. Shock a belligerent user, and he'll a) call back less frequently and b) be much nicer on the next call.

Oh please, oh PLEASE, somebody give me one of those...

And the perfect celebrity to endorse this product is Robert Goulet.
