Solve the spelling, grammatical or punctuation errors to find accurate clues to solve the crossword.
I defer to someone more skilled to know if the said errors are varied and confusing enough to produce a viable crossword.
On a simple didactic level, this tool would introduce crosswords but also
expand editing ability.
The cut from pink scissors. (3,6)

It's the cats lingerie. (1,1) |

I bunned it for the concept, but I don't understand either of
the examples shared so far. |
While I know the answers to the two above, I'm not sure that they really fit with the "find the error" prescription... |
//The cut from pink scissors. (3,3)//
The answer is: "redact" (red act) What's my prize, and where is it? |
So ... in [beany]'s example, there seems to be a missing
apostrophe. What's that meant to suggest? I'm mystified. |
you put the apostrophe in square 1, and the other 1 is for the pedant's correction length as a clue. |
I interpreted "pink scissors" as pinking and "ing" is three letters long. "oh, you meant to write pinking scissors" So I would write "ing" which is three letters long in spot 3 |
Sorry my simple example had two errors (3,3) should have been (6) |
[beanangel], strangely by my mistake your interpretation is better.
So it should be (3,6). Thanks. |

[xenzag], You win a prize promotion to the cryptic section. |

I still don't get how "The cut from pink scissors" means
"redact". I understand redaction is a kind of cutting, and
pink = red, but scissors = act? |
I'm still not clear on the concept, either, even though I still
like it either way. Is it that you have to correct the errors,
and then it's a normal clue with a normal answer, or is it
that you have to enter the corrections as part of the
answer? |
Trying to drag my clue and solution from the dried up neuron somewhere in those distant paths, simply, the error was miss'ing' and zigzag |
So I write "INGZIGZAG" in the grid? |
