You don't have to unbutton the shirt to get it on or off the hangar. You simply release the latch which is holding the rope / shoelace attached to one side of the bar, and the bar falls down. Pull the rope back and the bar returns to its regular "hangar" position.

The top of the question mark is the hook. The dot is the clutch or latch. the left diagonal is the shoelace / rope, the bottom line is the bar.

Toht has something like this in Raiders of the Lost Ark [link].

[porpoise] Thank you!! Except that he had to construct it before hanging the coat...
pashute, Nov 03 2015

Uh, [pash], did you Google this? Maybe "collapsible clothes hanger"? I got many hits.
MaxwellBuchanan, Nov 03 2015

Paul Dirac had one of these, but every time he looked at it to see what state it was in, it collapsed ...

//I got many hits.// But did you get any for a hanger designed to collapse with the clothes on it for easy removal?
Voice, Nov 04 2015

Yes, thank you [the porpoise]. I knew I'd seen something like this before and it's been bugging the crap out of me all day.

//did you get any for a hanger designed to collapse with the clothes on it for easy removal?//

Just Google "collapsible clothes hanger" and look at the images. Many of the hangers look as if they could be collapsed for easy removal from buttoned- up shirts, including the one I linked to.

       <aside>

Psst, [Max], it actually it sounds as if the real problem here is that [pash]'s personal valet isn't very well trained ...

Dear gods. And do you think he only has the one??

I have to admit to being somewhat flummoxed when dealing with the clothes service at a large hotel recently, my valets being indisposed. I carefully ticked and numbered the boxes for shirts, trousers, socks and so forth, and was horrified when nothing arrived by the stated 7pm deadline.

It turns out that you actually have to give them your used clothes first. Very odd.
MaxwellBuchanan, Nov 04 2015

       Thanks max!

Actually I did not, but saw one of the plastic ones (the one with two hooks) on Quirky about two years ago.

Mine is a simple shoestring on one side. I have yet to see this simple, easy to work, low cost configuration.
pashute, Nov 05 2015

       Big, that sounds nice!

But I don't really understand your idea.

Could you make a drawing, or link to the parts?
pashute, Nov 24 2015

I added a link to a drawing of mine.

Adding link to ones like yours...

       Done. See both links.
pashute, Nov 24 2015

What's the point of not unbuttoning the shirt to take it off the hanger when you still have to unbutton it to put it on your body? Or are you proposing a collapsible body too?
