Why have 3 steps when you can do it in 1?

I hate to do luandry. and it is an annoyance to drag the clothes to the basement, sort them, and then change them from machine to machine. Now I think it would save me a lot of time if you just combined the washer and dryer, made it much more compact and put it in your closet like a clothes hamper. at the end of each day you put the dirty clothes in the clothes hamper/washer and dryer and by morning you have a freshly cleaned, if not wrinkley, set of clothes in the dispenser tray located outside the general machine. now this machien would be smart enough (somehow) so it could wash your clothes and not ruin them. granted it might be wasteful, and youd have to add plumbing in you house, but since when did reality ever become a factor here?
