I guess your definition of "small" differs from mine. That one is not going to fit in your car, let alone your pocket! |

Just make sure the store isn't upwind. |

I will be amazed if pirates don't appear
soon in the annotations. Bugger, they
have. |

Unless it's a tacky kind of store. |

Or a tachy kind of store. Then you could
have already visited after you left. |

I've tacked across a grocery store parking lot in Santa Barbara on my bicycle using my jacket as a sail. It was a lot of fun. |

Yeah, Basingstoke is sometimes like that
too. |

This is great. The carts could be fitted with sails from sailboards. One could have a second cart lashed to the side and filled with groceries as a sort of outrigger. These carts could be raced across large parking lots. |

Only a matter of weeks before savvy marketers install directional aircon __inside__ the supermarket to direct you to their overpriced snack-goods... |

I have a vision of a gnarled and beige street person slowly pushing along a cart loaded with possessions. His eyes are uncommonly blue, and threading its way out from among his grey hairs, and continuing right down one side of his tawny scorched face and neck, is a slender rod-like mark, lividly whitish. He peers over his bushy beard at something down the street. A white Dodge Caravan! He leaps to the top of his cart, raises sail and takes off after it, squeegee ready at hand. |
