There are always areas that the visors don't cover and the sun can catch you right in the eye. If the car builders would include , in the middle of each visor, a flat piece that could be pulled to either right or to left, this would really be helpful.

Former Visor Engineer's note: Hmmmm... sorta doable perhaps. As moveable parts in the driver's headspace, visors are much trickier to design than they look. There's mirrors and side aircurtains to worry about, as well as packaging space and a myriad of other things. But I think there should be a way to do this.

My former sup. is always looking for new ideas to pitch to the OEM's. Once he had me sketch up a drawing for a visor that pulled out of the headliner, instead of flipping down. That one wouldn't work, though. Too many design challenges. Maybe you should pitch this idea to 'em. Here's a link.

Also, consider a different category. There's a 'Car' category with some nice choices. The 'other' is reserved for things that really have no home, and people get peeved when the bakery becomes an unsorted mess of 'miscellaneous.'

       Welcome to the halfbakery.

I though we had a bookworm already?

Anyway, the visors in the last few cars we've had sort of detach and swivel around, which is kinda the same thing.

Until recently i have been driving a car that has had that feature since 1993. Chrysler Concorde. Its not something that car companies are going to bother putting into many cars because its not anything that is expected, necessary or asked for.

Saab cars usually come with such visors, at least the 95-models.
