A safe car made of special non-flammable bubble wrap, or any other suitable packaging material, shaped with masking tape. Perhaps some lightweight plastic "skin" covering would be needed, to give the car its final shape and looks. This cover could easily be replaced. Instead of car crashes you'de have
car bounces, much safer for all involved. Probably cheaper to make too, and the lightweight low-cost material, saves you money on gas, and dent repair.
Sort of like this?

Probably useful, but I have to object for purely aesthetic reasons, your link to the Stay-Puff Marshmallow Car now haunts me. |

Make it Electrical DuckTape and you might be on to something...hey wait! |

Wouldn't you hate it if you got back to your car and someone had popped all the bubbles? |

I think this is a great idea, another plus is that it would float so it would be easy to make it amphibious (ie little propellor on the back). |
