It is so annoying to pour molasses from a jar or bottle - it spreads over the opening and glues the lid on. Wiping off the opening with your fingers is unsanitary. I was *so* jealous of people using honey. It comes in neat plastic bottles that squeeze out the product with no mess and no fuss. Then,
with my hand poised to drop a used honey squeeze bottle into the trash, it hit me ...

@prufax - I'll send those links to Trader Joe's and Nature's Promise. Maybe they'll add a product. |

Sounds like your main problem is no one has yet dragged your native USA molasses producers kicking and screaming into the 20th century, packaging-wise... |

Kind of scary to note that the U.S. has fallen behind both Canada and Australia ... |

It's not much of a Halfbaked idea is it? zzzzzzz goes back to sleep...... |

//Kind of scary to note that the U.S. has fallen behind both Canada and Australia ...// not to mention Umbongoland (it's a walled off territory concealed in the hills of South Wales) |

@prufax The main problem is that molasses is just not that popular in the US. In the 19th century, it was something the poor could afford instead of honey (requires land for beekeeping) or white sugar. It still retains some of the "lower class" stigma. |

I'm an outlier - I like "treacle" and ginger and cinnamon in my kefir - "gingerbread" flavor. I have never ever seen gingerbread yogurt or milk or kefir here. Just chocolate, strawberry, etc. I put treacle, coconut oil and spices on my roasted sweet potatoes or stir fry. |

I thought molasses is too thick to distribute like honey unless it's heated. |

An ideal opportunity to try our thermite-heated sauce dispenser, then. |
