There have been a few proposals to define a constant to replace pi and eliminate that 2 that appears almost everywhere that pi is used. Tau is the current favourite.

My proposal is to formalise the bi-pi as the official constant.

Though I'm not sure that's the right prefix. Should it be dipi? dupi? binpi? The column on wikipedia that contains 'kilo' also contains 'di'.

Anyway, correctness is clearly not the point.

If the gram can use a prefix to fix a horrible mistake and promote itself to an SI base unit, then surely the same reasoning applies to pi.

... apart from that common equation for the area of a circle, pi x radius ^ 2. Then again, it might make sense to introduce a "/2" to that equation and then use 6.28 everywhere else.

Maybe promote pi/3.14 as a new constant, call it I (that's capital i). Would make calculation that bit simpler.

Bisexual pie = A pie containing drugs that make you want to love everybody. Very popular at new age festivals like Burning Man.

Make you love everybody, or just make you want to love everybody - without the actual love ?

My due diligence did not extend as far as that, but I can live with it.

I just wanted to make sure I didn't accidentally assume the moniker of something used in a war crime, hate crime, terrorist act, or something Trump might have said.

Although, now that I think of it there is Bikini Atoll and the associated abuse of its native population. Bother.
