mobile phone with two sim cards | |
i use sms a lot. it sure seems like a great idea to have a
mobile phone with two sim cards and keypads, that will allow one to switch lines, or send uninterupted sms while still make available the other line for incoming calls! two panels, two keypads - one on either side - like they say: all good things
come in twos. what do you say, Nokia? zhenry@singnet.com.sg

I thought good things came in threes. Anyway, may as well just get two phones dude. |

Surely you wouldn't have two actual keypads, but just make it a two-line phone. You don't see office phones with 4 lines having 4 keypads, they very sensibly just have buttons for each line. |

Now, would a two-line cellphone be useful? I don't really think so, but... |

I've seen a wee unit that is retro-fitted onto mobiles that allows the user to switch between two sim cards on the one phone without having to open the phone up. One card for business, one card for pleasure. He said that he got the unit from a stall in a less than reputable market, so I'm afraid I am linkless. |

You'll find lots of that type of stuff if you google for "dual sim". I personally can't see the point - you have to switch the phone off & on each time you switch. Surely it's better just to get two phones, what with them being so dinky these days and all. |
