This has nothing to do with theTails for All idea...but a tail is a curious object. People are always trying to raise awareness for one subject or another. A few years ago (in the US) nearly every car had one of those magnetic *ribbons* for Breast Cancer, Alcohol, Domestic Violence, etc. After seeing
them for so long, one got oblivious to their meaning. I am suggesting tails of all colours. Tails to hang out of the trunk of your car, pin to the back of your suit, front of your trousers, side of your head...Then someone will have to ask- What is that tail for? And you can go ahead with the Awareness Raising of your choice.

In the dim dark ages before Esso became Exxon, there was an advertising campaign featuring the phrase "Put a tiger in your tank." [link] |

I fondly recall seeing tiger tails sprouting from the tank lids of various autos, and owning a tail or two myself. |

I thought this would be an idea for a tail that raises
when I change awareness to a new subject. That way
people can tell I'm listening to them without all that
eye contact hocus pocus. |

[daseva] I thought of that with the wording..It's a good idea, too!
I, too, remember the tiger in the tank- could hang a tail from your gas tank to raise the awareness of prices..uh, we don't really need that! *(maybe a short tail!) |

I had one of those tails on my stingray bicycle - I was so proud. |

People are always trying to catch a glimpse of other people's asses. |

[+] Since multiple tails is not as easy as multiple armbands,
stickers, or ribbons, this would encourage people to chose a
single cause that was especially important to them, rather
than more casually affiliating with a batch to which their
commitment was weaker. |

My other half has recently bought a "bunny tail" to wear when she is doing a sponsored run for charity. She's also tempted to just wear it everyday... a) to raise awareness of the cancer charity, and b) because she likes bunnies and wants to be one... |

This idea makes me feel apprehensile. |
