This'd be a Bad Thing for those among us who are inclined to drink lager. Lager has bubbles put in it because it tastes of not much. Wet glasses ==> flat pints ==> a diminished drinking experience. |

Wonders if alcohol raises or lowers the melting point of ice. Or how patrons will drink up without melting the handle. |

Unless the beer was already quite cold, wouldn't the temperature change have the potential to crack the ice? I know ice cubes snap and crack when I pur cold juice, or other beverages onto them. |

If you can't solve that difficult though, it would make for an excellent practical joke, especially in pubs which leave the glass cups in the frezer until serving. A simple switch to the "Evil" category might be all you need here. |

No, not at all. Unless the vessel was very narrow, or in some other way had a massive surface area/volume ratio, the cooling wouldn't be instant at all. In fact, I think you'd find that without constant stirring, it would take quite some time to cool down the beer. Unless you were putting already ice-cold beer into the ice cup..... |

How about a prank glass that consists of glass everywhere but the bottom? You put it in a mold, add some water, freeze it and hey presto - a glass that will hold your drink only for a limited time. |

An icy bottom wouldn't be very noticable if the ice is clear enough. |
