aardvarkestra is the name given to an orchestra consisting entirely of stuffed aardvarks which have been converted into wind instruments. They are of course not stuffed aardvarks, but actually hollowed out ones. (only ones that have died of natural causes are used to make the instruments).
The extended
nostril part of the aardvark is that which contains the inserted reed and line of fingering holes needed to control the note formation, with the hollowed out body making the resonant sound.
Various poses are possible when the carcass is being prepared. ie you can have "The Bugle" which is compact and loud, or "The Clarinet" which is stretched and elongated. The aardvark can also be preserved in a circular format so that it can be draped around the neck.
Isn't the halfbakery just the perfect place for an orchestra consisting of redeployed aardvarks?

Don't worry, there's probably an aardvark out there planning a human orchestra... |

Looks like an ideal shape for bagpipes. |

There is no ideal shape for bagpipes. |

I dunno.... if you stitched several sets of the elongated snouts unto a body, you could create something interesting. |
