There is some evidence that a light box can help people with Seasonal Affect Disorder (cutely acronymed to SAD) In fact, light boxes seem to cheer most people up. Everyone likes nice full spectrum light. The trouble is the boxes are expensive and ugly.
Who wants to dish out a ton of money for
an ugly box that * might * help cure a mood disorder that not everyone even agrees exists? (the light boxes start at about $200) So my thought is to design a light box that looks like some kind of glass modern art thing and swirls. It would be bright and not an eye sore either! Picture a blue wave shape with pure bright full spectrum light coming from the white foam on the head of the tsunamior for the more gothic at heart (some how the idea of a goth using light therapy for SAD is very funny to me..) picture a 3 headed dog, with open mouths spewing beams of healthful light right to your eyes and arms (the parts of the body they suggest you try to get light on.) Naturally the necks would be fully adjustable.
For those who favor a modern, there would be simple glass panels at a classy angle of descending heights, that slowly shifted over the course of the day to mimic sunrise and sun set. (I know there are lights with timers that do this
thats not the point hereits all about look and feel)

Sounds good to me; add in some wind chimes (or simulated wind chimes) and I'll buy one. |

I don't know about your taste, but the idea's a corker. croissant, as long as it's not baked. |

Potentially HalfBaked. See link. |

Jeremi, would those windchimes be of the silent dodgy type? |

If you like your modern art *really* modern (or should I say post-modern?), the light boxes may end up rather plain after all (link). |

Somehow, a three-headed dog seems a highly appropriate object for a teenage goth's bedroom. Would it be guarding the door? |
