I like toasters and I like making toast, and I like the idea of loading
special circular pieces of bread unto a cd tray, which then slides
horizontally inside the toaster to be grilled.
Of course there is a spinning action to ensure even heat and
colouration, along with a type of pick up arm,
just like the one in a
computer hard drive, that delivers and spreads the butter before the
toast emerges.

Well, cylindrical loaves are Baked |

so the bread part is practical. Yes, this could be made. We particularly like the automatic buttering component. [+] |

Love it [+] but could it let the toast cool a little before applying the butter. Slightly melted is so much better than totally melted. |

Although slices of bread usually take form of a MTC rather than a CD, but I am all for CDs. [+] |

This has potential. Such a device could do the "LightScribe" thing (see link) with the stylus and write words, patterns, and pictures on the toast. |

I'll raise a toast to that. + |

I thought this would be a CD burner in the form of a
toaster... |
|
|
[hippo] just don't put you cds in there!!
which btw is an alternate good idea! + |

Keeping with the LightScribe idea, the stylus would of course be the same heating element that turns the bread into toast. |
