"Alexa, turn our house into a sitcom."

Alexa function plays laughtrack after anybody says something.

Any sentence triggers an uprorious laughtrack, funny or not, like in a real sitcom.

When somebody walks through the door into the room, it plays raucous loud applause.

If you wanted, you could have it recognize certain phrases and react accordingly. "Okay, sweetie, have a nice day at work, love you!" might trigger "Awwwww!".

In case there's anybody else who doesn't know what a sitcom laugh track sounds like. https://www.youtube...watch?v=6lE3awSbfeg

       LOL, well, ya.

Maybe a narrator who introduces each person or couple who arrive, in the manner of an announcer at a fancy dress ball, but using their consumer profile / purchase data instead of their names?

Ya know, I was sort of kidding with this but variations like that could be a lot of fun.

I tried it out yesterday sort of, put a laugh track button on my phone while we were sitting around just talking. It was annoying but the laughter was kind of contagious. One of us just shook their head, like "Can you turn that off?" but a couple of us started laughing at the ridiculousness of it.

Point is, laugh tracks kind of make you laugh. Sort of like a dog hearing another dog bark.

Now does it get old quick? Oh yea, extremely.

I went to [Dr. Emulac3]'s link and saw a Grammarly advertisement. Thought it would be a great idea for an advertisement ruiner, and then saw that the video was exactly that. "Wait! did you download Grammarly? Ha ha ha ha!!

Since I have always refused to watch sitcoms with laugh tracks, I guess I might end up homeless, if this became cool.

You'll be fine. I wouldn't worry about this ever becoming cool.

I would love this feature at all times! Especially in the bathroom when making fart sounds. You could choose your own theme song too if it recognises different voices. Sounds totally possible, maybe they would consider it for April fools day.

Seriously, I think if someone suggested this to Amazon they'd offer it. It's the kind of a silly little thing they have Alexa do to make it friendlier.

I think most people would at least try it out. Like I said, I tried it out just with a laughtrack button in a room full of people and everybody started laughing. Like I said, there's a reason they use laughtracks, they work.

You'd just say "Alexa, turn on laughtrack".

The perfect counterpoint to the film noir home.

       Ahh the classic!

Hey, I just added something to this. If it hears a swear word the audience goes "Whooooooooo!".
