Christo, the Bulgarian artist, is perhaps best known for his
'wrappings', artworks where he wrapped an entire building or
structure.
At this moment, I believe he's turned New York's Central Park
into a giant croquet yard with his project "The Gates" .
So, I propose the following: let's wrap
Christo.
It could be a statement about how an artist is too engulfed in
his own work to see the essence of it.
Or something.
The Gates

More stupidity

At least Christo uses his own money to fund his graffiti. Here in UK, our taxes are being used to pay some mad woman to chew up pieces of soap, spits the bits onto the walls in a public lavatory and spreads toilet paper on the floor. |

I wish I thought if this. |

|
Very good idea. Profound. |

Why is it that nomatter how often I click on the bun, I can only add +1? |
|
|
They're zeno clicks, always half of the one before. |

I had that coming didn't I |

The orange makes the whole park look like its under construction. |

I like to take that jeanneclaude's hair and wrap in it in a hot oil conditioner, eeeeek |
|
|
I like it. And as someone already pointed out, he did it all with his own money. What baffles me is how someone with such crazy hair amassed so much money. That goes for both of them. |

Christo already wrapped himself in a self-portrait, you can see it in one of those portraits of artists in their environment-type books. Unfortunately I can't remember who took the photo, but it just shows what appears to be a guy wrapped in a canvas bag... of course, you can't tell if it's really him or not. |

I object to the placing of inverted
commas around the word artist,
implying that Christo is not an artist of
any merit. ... begins to rant.....zzzzz |
|

The wrap Christo idea is fine, but there
is no need to insult the man's single
minded (plus his partner) dedication to
a challenging notion. [Angel] - I don't
think you know how hard he works to
make these pieces. |

That which we don't understand or like
is usually labelled as "stupid". It is only
people who are stupid, or do you think
that objects posses a measurable
intelligence and intellect? |
|
|
Great - then bring out the inanimate
Objects IQ test and let's see who's
smarter - "my money's on the tin
opener" - "Mine's on that bucket of tar
with the coat hanger sticking out of it"
Last week a deceptively smart lamp
shade walked away with the big prize,
reducing an entire music centre to third
place behind the hat stand. |

You can all wake up now - I've stopped! |

I like Christo, but this is still a hilarious
idea. I also like Tracy Emin, but I
almost preferred the work "Two Naked
Men Jump Into Tracy's Bed" (link). |
