Word Socks

After hearing that some manufacturers print their names across the bottom of socks for a bit of free advertising, I thought what a cute idea it might be to start a range of mix'n'match word socks, which can be read in different ways depending on which feet they're on, eg;

|I Love| |My Dog|

|It's You| |I Love|

|My Dog| |It Stinks|

|It Stinks| |It's You|

etc

Could end up with some interesting combinations if you're getting dressed in a hurry!

Or for the customer focused executive;

|Your need| |Is my Primary Concern|
|A Sound Investment| |Is My Primary Concern|

etc

Just be sure not to mix them with your weekend socks;

|Your Need| |It Stinks|
|My Dog| |Is My Primary Concern|

Put your feet up and express yourself!

       Somehow I thought the title was going to be Magnetic Fridge Poetry Socks, but whatever. +

       thought sox was USian - just being POlite!

       If your dog wore them, he would have an even wider range of expression, such as:

       [I love] [My owner]
[Very much][I stink]

       Before you went into the description very far I thought that the socks would be matched by making the phrases make sence. Sort of like a quiz, on your socks. And you could tell how smart a person was by looking at the sides of there socks. But it still is a good idea. You scored a + bravo.

       I'm only wearing one sock and it says "run away".

       |trick or treat| |smell my feet|

       Can't believe nobody said that yet.

       For Christmas: |Dinner was messy, I have to do dishes| |Here are your fucking holiday wishes|

       I was about to suggest Word Underwear, but I think this exists already. on both cheeks: |wide| |load| Such potential here. Expand the smart-ass t-shirt phenomenon to everything...it's...Wordwear!

       I'd prefer Letter Shoes for spontaneous, random words. When you're standing in line one day, you might just read:

       \k/\i/ \s/\s/ \m/\e/

       ....or something equallly as exciting!

       \c/\r/ \o/\i/ \s/\s/ \a/\n/ \t/

       I love this idea! I usually don't wear socks (because rarely wear shoes that require socks- actually, I rarely wear real shoes) but this would be a nice excuse to start wearing socks.

       I absolutely love this idea. but soending even 5 seconds thinking of a combination for the day may be a bit too taxing for my little mind! +

       And the shirt that reads: if you can read my socks I must be doing at LEAST 130mph

       I'm wondering why they have one that says "Washable". Oh wait, is that not a comma?
krelnik, Dec 04 2003

       I don't think the link bakes these, Burns, as the heart of the idea lies in the combinations one gets on the footbottoms when mixing up the socks.
waugsqueke, Dec 04 2003

       But think of the hilarity of wearing the wrong flip-flop to church!
