Take a high end laptop, with all the bells and whistles, and replace the cover with a wooden veneer to make a less appealing target for thieves.
I hate it when my laptop goes missing. I lost two in one day once at a house party I was hosting - unfortunately some people I didn't know showed up, and
not to be a party pooper, we partied on. It totally wrecked my work.
At the time I had a whole bunch of raw timber in my lounge for a furniture project I was busy with. Had my laptop looked like a block of wood, hidden amongst my timber, I doubt the thieves would have stolen my stuff.
A wooden laptop would also be great, giving off some message about the owners tree hugging tendencies. In my business it would definitely help start conversations and will help sell our eco-friendly image.

Did do a mahogany desktop case about 4
years ago, included the monitor (flat screen
type). Triangular prism worked best. Most
interest it got was from customs officers at
Delhi airport. |

To be honest this probably already exists as
well they are wood case smart phones et al. |

You neglect the Beach Boys classic "Wooden
it be nice to..." |

Wooden know until we try. |

Wooden it be great? The fancy version might have inlays of walnut and other types of expensive timber. |
|
|
The rough n tuff version simply looks like a hacked up piece of wood for effective camouflage. I can imagine the careless carpenter might take to it with a drill or a saw - one of the downsides of a wooden laptop. |

The wooden laptop in [Voice]'s link is a very nice
piece of work, but you have to wonder if the word
"heirloom" is appropriate. |

I haven't Googled "heirloom Walkman" because the
Internet isn't that old, but... |
