Keep Her Maj amused at Trooping the Colour by repurposing the event as a "Louis XIV playing chess at Versaille" style live action version of the classic phone game Snake, the soldiersnake being controlled by Betty hersel' through her trusty Nokia 3210, the phone is itself connected to the order-barking
Field Officer, with large waxen apples being scattered about Horse Guards Parade by scampish royal tots.

Far too good for this place! |

This year I went to the "Major General's Review" which is a rehearsal event for Trooping the Colour so I can readily imagine how this would liven things up. I think, ideally, the snakes would be made up from the marching bands, with their music being played at a faster and faster tempo as the queen advances to higher and higher levels. |

How does the snake get longer after successful consumption of said
apples? |

//How does the snake get longer after successful consumption of said apples?// The Field Officer barks "Append Tommies!" and the requisite number of bearskin-sporting types join on the end. This allows for a snake of approx. 225,000 persons (or 317,000 including the TA), which, if nothing else, should impress the North Koreans. |

For some reason I'm imagining the marching band members who make up the 'snake' to be playing the tune "Yakkety Sax" as they march ever more quickly. |
