Yeah, okay, so we just got a Wii not too long ago as a gift.
One of its features is that it is essentially hooked up to my
WiFi network all of the time (I think?) so as to download
software, news, and weather updates.
The SETI Channel setting would work just like SETI@home,
except utilize
the idle processing time of idle gaming
systems, (yes, these do exist!), by subscribing to that
particular channel.

Alternatively, unplug the box and turn it off when you're not using it. (It turns out the little demons in the console don't actually die when you don't feed them electricity, they just hibernate.) |

Can you point the wiimote at the nightsky and

continuously. You're a pro (I gather) and maybe you don't
get that. |

[+] high-power graphics ~ high'ish-power FP calcs, and a machine optimized almost entirely for FP calcs is gonna be much more efficent kWh:calculation than a "full-featured" desktop or laptop. |

The graphics aren't that high-powered for the Wii in
comparison to the PS3 or XBox. No HD support. |

Unplugging the thing would involve contortions I
don't want to repeat very often. |
