Often times your bag from the
take-out place is filled to the top
with
food. This is only a problem if you
are driving back alone and need to
make any sort of turn or stop on the
way. Plus the room for the extra
dish
on the bottom will mean that fewer
food packages will be crushed.
Jeremy, for those who can be bothered.

simple, brilliant. the idea is ok too. |

Jeremy Clarkson (UK car lover, woman hater) said something very akin to this the other night. |
he was driving home with a curry take-away on passenger seat, he braked for a pedestrian and saw the take-away start to move forwards, and so he not only stopped braking but actually accelerated. |
I think it was meant to be funny. well, I own up, I laughed. |
At least he's got his priorities um, straight. |

No matter how stable you make the container, there will
always occur an event to require a swerve servere
enough to cause a spill ====> [previously unproven natural
law-- any thoughts on how to test this one, Vernon?

Totally agreed, was considering
internal slats to add cardboard for
stability, then I figured that in real
life people would double bag it for
added stability and possibly add
cardboard inbetween, so no need
for slats. |

The local takeout place staples the bag closed at the top (along with _another_ copy of the menu). |
I'd like to see the taper the other way, so that you can reach in and pull out boiling-hot tinfoil dishes without having to rip the bag apart to avoid burning your hands. |
Oops. I misread the title as "Wipe Bottom Paper Bag." Ahem. |
Wasn't there a car launch a while ago in the UK in which the "curry hook" -- a hook in the passenger-side footwell for hanging a takeaway bag -- caught the attention of the popular press? |
Can't remember what car it was, mind you. |
Think it was the Toyota - Corolla.
Shirley a pizza box, of the deep dish variety could hold a number of takeaway containers...and keep hold them with as low a centre of gravity as can be expected. |

(po) Thank you for the link.I have just spent a very happy hour slaping and punching Jamie Oliver and Neil Hamilton. |
Woah, a sketch! Thanks very
much bristolz. |
Some models of the LandRover Discovery have a curry hook too. |

Perhaps the shopping bags should simply have drawstrings, like various brands of trash bags. A container with a lid only spills if the lid gets loose -- and drawstrings can be knotted... |
Yes, yes, all well and good, but what have you done for us lately, [sartep]? |
maybe add a paper hook or wire so you can attach your bag to the seatbelt to keep it upright? |
