Something has happened to the appearance of the
croissants on the HB, unless the fault is only with me.
To be specific there are no longer any depictions of whole
single croissants. There are half, one and a half etc, but
not single whole croissants, or is this only happening to
me? [marked-for-expiry]

Good grief - it seems that you are not wrong. A quick perusal
of my ideas reveals many combinations of comestibles and
fish-remains, but not one single-croissant idea. |
I suspect that some vital algorithm has gone rusty during the
site's downage earlier this year. |
All our croissants are complete, both on our profile page and in the ideas themselves. |
Oh no they're not. You have many half-croissants, and many
one-and-a-half or two-and-a-half croissants, but no single or
double whole croissants. |
Someone should activate the Bat-Signal, then. |
Who's going to send up a smoke signal for the soup
dragon? |
Before we take drastic action like that, mon amie, we ought
to find out whether an extra half croissant is being
automatically added, or a half croissant is being removed. If
the former, I suggest we keep quiet and eat. |
The scaling has changed. This is not the first time it has happened, but previously it didn't eliminate the whole croissant levels. I always assumed that this was tied to the total number of votes being cast. Back in 2008, the number of votes needed to achieve a 2.5 bun idea was much more, but there were more users voting. |
If the adjustment is automated, perhaps it has hit some lower limit. On the plus side, it's now easier than ever to hit the 2.5 bun target. |

(also, forgive my absence the last few days, merry christmas all) |

But we've already dug in the stake, and piled up all the dry wood and kindling ... and we've got potatoes ready to bake, and treacle toffee, and there's going to be a torchlight procession, and a juggler and apple-bobbing and face-painting ... |
You've spoilt it now. Unless you can suggest someone else to immolate ... ? |

// send up a smoke signal for the soup dragon? // |

We understand that the Soup Dragon is currently on vacation. We suggest a modicum of patience may be appropriate, at least until 2019, given that this is a very minor issue. |

// forgive my absence the last few days // I presume you
have an exeat? |

If not, we have an Exocet we've been looking to try out ... |

Maybe, like the whole enchilada, the whole croissants is held back for the idea where all readers go wow! |
I'm going to add number five and see what
happens.... + ha - point proved - something's awry. |
Nonsense. You can't make croissants out of rye. The colour's
too dark and the flavour's all wrong ... unless ... someone has
gone over to the dark croissants? |
Weidaminnit. The two-whole-croissantses are being rounded up
to 2 1/2, too. |
The croissants have ingested toxic Frankenstein
GMs, shrivelled up and gone feral. |

Time for you to do your James Bond act, then, and Save The World ... |

Hey - it's been fixed! Hurrah for the Soup Dragon!
