Ever since my wife made me put the glass fridge shelf back I use my computer screen as a light table a lot. (+) |
Could you not simply take a photo of a white surface (or a red
surface, &c.) and then display it full-screen on the iPad? |
You can just click on an image for the word white or any other color for an 'almost' full screen. |
Presumably, on the iPad you can zoom the screen (like on a
Mac), so even if you can't get true "full screen" you can still
get an actual screenful. |
[Ian Tindale] that is awesome, especially in it's
improvisationalness! |
You can also go to about:blank in any web browser and then
go fullscreen, at least on a "computer" computer. |
//make iPad able to display a pure white screen |

Tippex or some white paper? |
But seriously, if you could drag the light towards the
UV end, you'd be able to see the pink-fluorescing
flying
squirrels. |
Probably bad home-brew vodka might have the same
effect. |
Can we also ask for a UV blacklight mode? That would come in quite handy for assorted reasons, like making stuff glow. Or, umm, making other stuff glow, you know, like old posters from the sixties and seventies. |
Oh, you can also use UV light to check for rodent activity in and around your home. Blacklight will illuminate those areas where the cheeky little vermin have been relieving themselves after getting drunk at the wild parties they throw in your basement. Just don't use it in your spare bedroom after your creepy brother-in-law has spent the night. |
And I nearly forgot, you can also use UV blacklight to check for counterfeit money! |
Yes - along with many other "solid" colours as indicated in idea. |
