At large gatherings where staff must cater to a large number of people with drinks, mints, custard treats etc - the Whirling Dervish Waiter can be of considerable help. Dress them appropriately and have them spin in designated areas in the ship's ballroom with a specially designed tray having raised edges so as to prevent discolouring of the lapel. If you feel like a tasty morsel, approach carefully and with a darting snatch action, who knows what you may retrieve.

Seen giving lazy Susan a whirl after hours.

Don't tip the waiter. He's so dizzy he'll fall on his face.

Excellent visual. Can also completely defend your gathering against invading ninjas, should such a contingency occur.

Don't they do it to put themselves in trances? That might not be good for a waiter.
