This cant be too hard to do, just a little LCD display on the control that displays which player it is. This information would be sent to the control via the port its plugged into.
No more of the untangling wires to figure it out nonsense, and just get on with the gaming.

Actually, non of those use LCDs, but they do have lights for the same purpose. |

I would think controller LCDs could also be very useful to show players 'private' information when multiple players are sharing a screen. For example, in a football game, players could use their LCDs to select plays without their opponent being able to see them. |
