Many emotions are conveyed through the eyes and
eyebrows.
Happy, sad, angry, sleepy, even sexy or devious.
So if you're feeling angry, the brainwave sensors built
into the
glasses would show an LED representation on the front of
the
glasses like that shown in the links.
Based on those
glasses with open eyes painted on the
front you can wear to take naps in boring classes without
the teacher catching on.
You could use different methods to get the expressions to
change. Cellphone program reading the tenor of your
voice for instance. Or just a remote switch.
Could also go low tech and just have different panels
slide into place from levers on the glasses.
The glasses would have pinholes throughout to enable
the person to see through the back of the LED screen.
Glasses with art on the front are quite common so an LED
or low tech version would be easy to achieve.

Well, [+] because it's the weekend and the gin and tonics
are working as expected. |

I suspect that you may be misoverestimating the ability of
"brainwave sensors" built into glasses to detect emotions.
Also, there are many times when I will want to convey the
impression of an emotion other than what I am feeling. For
example, I might want to express "absolutely riveted" when
listening to details of the latest argument between my wife
and her sister, rather than "I really don't give a shit, yet
again". So, on balance, I'd go for your remote switch
option. |
|
|
Also, LED displays would be dazzling and difficult to see
through - maybe opt for an LCD which can be made clear in
the non-image parts of the the, ah, image. |

Will there be a version with a laser pointer at the side ? |

Started out with the big tech approach, moved towards
the
little pictures you could scroll across the lens. Low tech is
probably
better. Plus, as you said, you might want to convey a
different emotion than you're feeling, hence the dial-a-
mood feature. |
|
|
Yea, low tech. Screw that sciency stuff. |
|
|
You know, if you had dials on either side you could mix
and match. Different eyes for loads of hilarious hi-jinks.
Winking eye on the left, angry on the right, sleepy on the
right, angry on the left. Hours of fun, impress the chicks,
guaranteed to break the ice at parties, impress the
neighbors, wear them when you get pulled over to get out
of an expensive drunk driving arrest. A thousand and one
uses. |
|
|
And mostly opaque glasses aren't a problem. See link. |

Pay me enough I'll design one with TEC-9s on BOTH sides. |
