WhatDoIsee.org

So this is an iphone app that will give people who are blind access to a network of volunteers who will describe what they see in a real time video feed from the iphone that the blind person is holding up in front of them.

For instance if a blind person needs to know what denomination the bills are that they get as change, they can hit a one button logon to WhatDoIsee.org and be connected to the volunteer visual describer who is highest rated by users of the service. The volunteer says, that is a ten, that is a five, those are 4 ones, ok, yes, how is it going, yes, um, hold the phone up... yes the bathroom is on the right, no wait dont take help from that person across the street because they look pretty shady... what? yes that looks like a van gogh, there is a room with a bed and chairs and the perspective is kind of distorted and the colors are kind of off... etc, etc.
