Please note this is a later edit. If you read the original
(Oct 09 2017) post it's probably not worth re-reading. If
it was worth reading in the first place.
Anyway, I was why wondering werewolves have to be
shot with silver bullets...and the common factor is the
Moon. In the old alchemy
belief each solar object had an
influence on the Earth, the Sun produced gold, and the
Moon created silver.
All the major silver producing countries* have a dearth of
werewolf legends, and there might be a connection...the
Moon. Central and Southern America have a great deal of
silver and bugger all werewolves.
Silver-poor areas (ie Western Europe) might have
suffered more, due to a lack of silver, and so race
memories of werewolves would tend to survive longer.
* Well..they might fool around with the elementary
particles until they get silver, but I suspect the prosaic
truth is they just dig it up with shovels.

There is very little Kryptonite on our planet, and yet almost zero Supermans. Either there's some deep conspiracy going on, or this theory of yours is bollocks. |

A quick trip to the help file indicates that this post falls somewhere in the neighborhood of .... |

.... rather than an idea. |

// We all know that the distribution of elements in the Earth is influenced by the astral bodies - in this case the moon - // |

Oh, not plate tectonics and vulcanism then ? All those deposits of metals around the periphery of granite intrusions are just a red herring ? |
|
|
// so Central and Southern America have a great deal of silver and bugger all werewolves. // |
|
|
How do you know there are bugger all werewolves, though ? Have you done a survey ? What did you do, wander round Venezuela on moonlit nights with a pencil, clipboard and record sheet ? |

Are your results externally validated and peer-reviewed ? |

I've never run into a werewolf yet who disagrees with this
finding. |

Buggary and werewolves in the same breath. I would
Google it... but I just know... well, you know. |

Yup. Definitely in the category of "Things not to use as search
terms on the internet". |

It's dispiriting how many seemingly innocent combinations of
everyday words can instantly transport the unwary enquirer to a
dark place they really didn't want to go, or indeed suspected

//Buggary// is oddly a medium-sized town in New South Wales. There are also two Mount Buggerys, both in Victoria. |

It's rather like the art of teleportation through the flue
network. Jumble your words a bit and you can end up in the
wrong part of town. |
