Rarely if ever used in international conflicts but perhaps that may change, the WOVMD can be adjusted to produce varying levels of projectile rebuke from the 'Gentle Tap' setting to the more extreme 'Prod'. Each shot is accompanied by a very loud 'Ahem'.

In more recent years, most pistols available in .25 ACP are also available in a more effective calibre.[1] [normzone, Aug 30 2012]

A ricin soaked pellet at the end of an umbrella would be forbidden, but the umbrella itself...that has possibilities. Imagine battle lines of soldiers in their bright and fanciful uniforms, each wielding an umbrella with remarkable skill, sometimes opening it to use as a shield, then abruptly closing it for a athletic lunge. "Sorry!" they would cry as they bruised their opponent's chest. Then "I bet your pardon!" after a poke to the eye. |
