Just get little signs that say 'we apologise for the inconvenience' everywhere.

Why?

Why not?

Nobody will know what it means, you could stick them on vending machines and such.

I just read the whole series of 'The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy'. Maybe he'd be having a chuckle up there, seeing all the mayhem.

Quite the idea rampage you're on tonight/this morning/today/whenever.
Not really sure what the idea is here, mostly because I'm confused by category choice (culture:monument?). Is this a statue of inconvenience stickers? Could we accomplish the same goal with "Kill Your Parrots" stickers?
AfroAssault, Mar 23 2005

I've now put it under culture: crop circle, coz I think it might create a little speculation if people went about town, seeing these everywhere. Kinda like those little chalk marks that some loonies put up round Britain a while back, can't remember what they represented.

[AA] It's morning here. I have the rest of the day to continue my rampage!

Nice one [froglet], think I'll stick one on my forehead.

I thought only Terry Pratchett had anoraks?

I like the "guerilla art" aspect of this. The art is not in the signs themselves, but in the reaction to them. [+]

Froglet, what a mischievous person you are! +
Ling, Mar 24 2005

I've already started this in my area. They're little yellow post-it notes that say 'sorry for the inconvenience'', but no one knows what they mean. It gave me and my sister a laugh.

This could create competitions as to the weirdest places you put 'sorry for the inconvenience' notes.

Next time I go on holiday, I'll put little notes everywhere, all over Hamelin, and Dusseldorf, etc, which I'm going to visit...

Ah, glorious fishbones... Does anyone know why the people who made this site make it as fishbones and croissants? I'd be interested to find out as to why fishbones and not something else...

[froglet] - it was just the first thing [jutta] thought of, if I recall her answer on another idea.

Well I liked the idea. Some of the most funny ones are filled with bones.
