Sometimes I see people who've been having a hard day/week, and I want to give them a hot drink and say "look, it's alright, things will get better".
However, most people don't take well to some random person whom they may not know very well telling them that everything is going to be okay - how do
they know what they're talking about?
What we need is a delivery service which, rather than packages, will deliver small kindnesses from the shy to those who may have been having a hard day. For a fee, a courier will bring up to the target a hot cup of coffee/tea in a special mug (coffee/tea made to recipients liking, if known, or if they don't like either, it could be a mug of lollies or something like that) with a little keychain of a fuzzy creature on the end. Messages are optional.
This could be a service of a coffee chain or something like that, orders would come in over the internet and would be dispatched to the nearest coffee shop.

+ Delivering you a nice, warm bun for your thoughts. I saw a *Random Acts of Kindness* truck the other day and wondered if it was delivering anything to anyone. |
This is actually a really good idea with
possibilities to expand with other
companes. Ex. The coffee or tea could be
starbucks. That gets everyone feeling
better. |
I think the idea is great but I couldn't help but picture somebody randomly handing out these fuzzy creatures. [Link] Make sure to click on Hear My Voice. |
But wouldn't people who didn't randomly get a warm fuzzy be even madder then, canceling the overall improvement? |
No, I think if the fuzzies were warm and fuzzy enough, people nearby might go "Awwwww..." creating a located instance of the Happy Cuddle Club. |
I'd stay away from the trinkets and send food, a singing telegram, a foot massage - an experience rather than a thing. Oh, and here is yours: [+]. |

Am I the only one who thought this was a Furry support group at first? |
Jeez, I could use this today. |
Ming the Merciless: "Hi, I'm Ming the Merciless, and I'm a relapsed warm fuzzy"
Support Group: "Hi Ming"
Ming the Merciless: "It all started when one day, I no longer wanted to be given out. I wanted all my warming fuzzy warmth to be kept to myself. Warm fuzzies shouldn't be that way, should they?"
Counsellor: "No, they shouldn't, but admitting that you have a problem is the first step to recovery. Well done, Ming" |

So what do you do for the deliveryman when he is having a bad day? |
Give him an angora rabbit to stroke, like the one in the linky. :-D |

In that case, I am most definitely not everyone. |
Neither am I. I would think that I was being patronized. |
