Walking and talking is good

This is a shoulder / backpack mounted videoconferencing rig.

A counterbalanced arm holds a 28 inch screen a meter to the right (or left) of your head, with a high resolution camera. You wear discrete earbuds. The whole system uses cellular data to run a videoconferencing call so that you can chat to your friend(s) while walking.

You need to co-ordinate your rig so that it is on the opposite shoulder to your friend's otherwise the landscape movement in the background might be a little disconcerting.

The whole kit folds down into a compact backpack for when your "friend" terminates the call in a huff.

Sort of this... https://www.magicle...e/solutions/spatial
The AR version (dunno if it's actually available yet...) but needs a camera looking back at you. [neutrinos_shadow, Mar 07 2021]

Annotation:

So this is an evolution of the standing desk into the walking desk? Why bother with a large screen which will be unwieldy & heavy? On top of that, a typical monitor consumes maybe 50W, even with all that going into light, it's going to be 10- 20 fold dimmer than a bright sunny day, so it'll be hard to see.

It's much easier to create a heads-up display in glasses or similar. Much easier in all respects.

I knew someone would suggest putting it all into goggles.
