You'd have a overhead series of sprayers that should look like a nice sculpture in itself, that would rain down evenly on a well drained flat concrete base, the whole thing maybe 40 x 40 ft square. When you approached this little slice o' rainstorm, optical sensors embedded in concrete would sense you're
there and close the array of sprayers in front of you opening up an area of no rain. As you walked in, the sensors arrayed throughout the fountain would continue turning off sprayers above your area so no matter were you walked, that area wouldn't have any rain coming down as if someone were holding an invisible umbrella over you. As you left any particular spot, the rain would come back on. It would be like strolling around under a waterfall without getting wet. Seems to me it would be a neat experience.

I like this idea. It would also be neat if it had different modes, where you could set it for either dry, mist, spray, or shower. |

You have to be careful of any sculptures or plantings selected since many will throw and drip water in random directions regardless of sprinklers being on or off. |

fountains with sensors to turn them off as you get

if you put valve, battery, sensor, computer chip, in the spray nozzle, it would be possible to transform for night or a week any garden or irrigated setting that has that same 1/2 inch thread in its spray heads. |

before the wedding you have a crew race round switching the spray heads. The special heads then talk to each other like a flock of birds in flight to decide when to on and off. |

You'd have people bringing their friends to the garden the next day saying "Now watch this!" and get themselves absolutely sopping wet . |
