As you walk on the treadmill, the video on the tv screen and the sound in your headphones, all captured on CD ROM, simulates a walk through Manhattan, Los Angeles, a country road in the springtime, or anywhere you might imagine. While the speed and distance walked are up to you, the grade settings on
the treadmill could be coordinated to coincide with the actual terrain in the simulation.
For extra incentive, have the simulation start some distance from a great landmark, so if you walk 5 miles, you are rewarded with an up close look at the biggest ball of twine in minnesota (if that's the scenery you choose) without even having to stand in line. Your workouts might be a lot more exciting if you know that today, you just might make it all the way to the top of pike's peak in time to see the sun set.
Well baked

I'm fairly sure this is more or less baked. |

I have an even better idea! Go for a walk outside!
how's that for radical |
|
|
1. it's cold and raining today and i don't WANT to walk outside. |
|
|
2. should i want to walk in, say, rome, it's a bit inconvenient. |

Rather very nice, dashing in a sort of way. I'd love on my daily run to the famous wonder of the temple of zues. It's a same really that Herottis had to burn it down. What a awfully mean fellow. |

So it's like the old recumbent exercise bike/video game kiosks at Disneyworld. The faster you pedal, the faster the video goes. Probably done with laserdiscs, now that I think about it. |

Very baked. There's a stairmaster like this that I used to use every day. At EPCOT's Wonders of Life, there's a virtual cycling machine. |
